Dutch Side Carnival

Mid-March through early April, there are daily festivities associated with the celebration of Carnival on the Dutch side of the island. Philipsburg is the home of Festival Village, epicenter of all festival-related activities.

Mardi Gras

Tuesday nights in Grand Case from mid January through early March, the main boulevard is closed off to all traffic and the town is transformed. If you have a late “all-aboard” time on a Tuesday, this is surely where you’ll want to be. Local vendors set up booths selling handicrafts, paintings, jewelry, artisinal soaps, clothing, and more. Food vendors offer delicious desserts, mouth-watering fries, tasty local barbecue, and a plethora of yummy drink options.
