St. Maarten Cruise Port

The Port of St. Maarten in Philipsburg is a busy, thriving locale with shopping and activities to suit any interest. The US dollar is accepted everywhere, and English is spoken by almost all of the locals. Many cruise-shippers will heed the call of duty-free shopping downtown for electronics and liquor. Then, there are always our beautiful beaches for lounging and swimming.

Looking to book an excursion while you’re on St. Maarten? Octopus Diving offers snorkeling, scuba diving“try diving”, and combination tours, as well as private boat charters. VIP service is at the heart of everything we do, as our over 1200 5-Star TripAdvisor Reviews will attest to. We run trips from our two locations, with our brand-new shop right next to the cruise ship port in Bobby’s Marina, and our original shop in picturesque Grand Case, on the French Side of the island. As a family-owned and operated company, it’s very likely that you’ll run into Chris or Sally, and possibly the little man who’s really in charge, our son Keiran.

Our two-site trips depart at 8 am, 9 am, 10 am, and 1 pm and will run for roughly 3.5 hours. We also offer a one-site trip from Octopus Diving SXM at 2 pm, which runs just under 2 hours. With the variety of options available, you’ll easily be able to enjoy an excursion with Octopus Diving and have ample time left to partake in some shopping or beachside relaxation.

Octopus Diving SXM is located just a few minutes walk from the cruise ship port, in Bobby’s Marina. Water taxis from the cruise ship port will drop you off directly at our shop! Check in here for diving excursions for certified divers and one-tank “try dives” for beginners! You’ll want to take a look around our shop for unique souvenir items, hand-picked by our staff.

Heading from your cruise ship to our French Side location in Grand Case? Be sure to watch this quick video made by Sally, where she walks you from the cruise ship port to the Sandbanks, where your taxi driver will greet you.
