Octopus Diving currently has three boats; Arvor, Octopussy and of course… Little K. All boats are meticulously maintained, cleaned, inspected and loved! They provide a very stable diving platform and a smooth, quick and comfortable ride to any of the island’s dive sites. All boats feature a complete set of safety equipment.
Our custom built dive boat “Octopussy” is a power catamaran made by Hydrocat in Florida.
She is 30 feet long, 11 feet wide and has a draft of just 12 inches, giving excellent stability in the water, planning speeds in excess of 40 knots and a comfortable, dry ride.
Octopussy is powered by two 2015 Mercury 150hp Four Stroke engines. Chris is now a certified Mercury Technician making it easier to ensure that the engines are always running at optimal performance.
The tank rack and ladder are both produced by a local craftsman out of marine grade aluminum and designed by Chris to make kitting up, entry and exits as easy as possible.
The six divers on our dive boat give each scuba diver the chance to get to know each other and have a safe and fun experience whether diving or snorkeling in St Martin.
Our custom built dive boat is called Arvor meaning “by the sea.” She is a 25 foot Mako powered with brand new twin Mercury 150 hp 4 stroke (low emission) engines. Arvor is a fast and comfortable dive boat. With a speed of 30-35 knots we can reach any of the more than 30 dive sites in less than 20 minutes letting you spend more time enjoying scuba in St. Martin. We take out a maximum of 4 divers per trip on Arvor.
Little K is the latest addition to the Octopus Diving Fleet. She takes divers our of our location in Bobby’s Marina on the Dutch Side of the island.
She is a 30 ft Island Hopper, however she was build in 1996. Don’t let her age fool you though. She has a Yanmar 360hp inboard diesel engine, she gets around the island with divers quickly and comfortably. She has a tuna tower, which means more deck space for the divers below.
Little K only takes out 6 divers max, providing that safe, intimate, unique dive experience we are famous for.
Any questions about our boats, just let us know and we would be happy to help!
